Ive watched the series twice thru...the first 3 seasons are still preferable to the latter 2 to me. I think the show loses a bit when Stringer Bell isn't around any longer. Omar is fantastic. McNulty is fantastic. Theres so many characters in this that are fun to watch interact.
Favorite moment of season 1...
Omar's calling card, the whistling of "A Hunting We Will Go" (or was it "The Farmer in the Dell"?).
Every time I rewatch The Wire, I'll find myself saying "A-rite" instead of "All right".
