Here's one more thing that I already like about Harper that Philly Phans will love.
He appears to be incredibly passionate about the game - always celebrating his teammates success and enthusiastic beyond belief.
i.e. see his celebrations with Hoskins and Franco after their homers yesterday and when the game ended - the outfield celebration of mccutchen, Herrera and Harper.
small stuff like that goes over huge here - I don't care about the contract - show you care, you try (you're diving for texas league bloopers when you're down 10-1 in the 9th), you're passionate about the team and fanbase, and you're not a passive aggressive whiner like McNabb and Schmidt - and eventually when the weather gets warmer i'm expecting the ball to jump off his bat.
some players are 'Philly' - others aren't. be positive, give 120%, don't throw anybody under the bus even when the chips are down, protect your team - and don't bitch and moan.
