Well, maybe the best of the best aren't with us anymore but back in 2010 Butkus was ranked #10 on the best players of all-time and he is still alive:
Love him or hate him, Ditka is also alive. Even if he played and won Superbowls in Dallas, he is Bear.
Sayers is still alive too. They haven't been active players for what seem like an eternity but you can't talk about the Chicago franchise history without talking about them no?
