I was recently discussing this with someone. Listening is a skill that a lot of people just don't have, even if they ask a question. They appear to be listening but you can tell that they're just thinking of what to say next. Then there's the folks who post a "question" on line and then apparently never return to read the replies. Hard to tell for sure BUT they don't respond to the posts. It's like the whole purpose is to just put "questions" out there and not participate any further. Apologies for not always responding to the posts in my threads that I start on the Classic Film board, BATouttaheck. It in no way means I’m not reading other people’s responses. It’s quite the opposite. I read every one of them and greatly appreciate all the replies to my threads. It’s just that oftentimes people have replied with movies that I’ve never seen nor heard of and I’m not quite sure what I can say in response other than, “Those look like interesting movies. I’ll have to check them out.” (which would get rather repetitive if I posted that all the time). I enjoy reading all the replies and the discussions that they bring up, even if I’m not really able to participate in them much.
