It's what these guys do. Marvel is kiddie until DC puts out a film for kids. Marvel has too much comedy, but Captain Marvel should smile more. The CGI rhinos in Black Panther were lame but the sharks and seahorses in Aquaman were genius. Marvel villains are forgettable but let's not talk about BvS Lex or whoever the villain was in Suicide Squad. Marvel has a diversity problem, but it's politics that got BP to $1B and a best picture nod. The critics were paid to give poor ratings to DC movies until the films score well with critics, etc.

And Shazam only did moderate on its opening weekend compared to Captain Marvel. Maybe WB should buy empty seats in the theaters so Shazam can also reach $1 billion.
