Confirmed racist chanting by football fans this weekend

I know I am in danger of blaming the victim here, but for the life of me I don't get why anyone in any job in the public eye would go on or read social media. We all know it's full of trolls and small minded twats and so why wind yourself up by confirming it?
  Maybe it's just an age thing.
