"Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior"
Recently after having his 1973 Ford Falcon GT flipped (this is a really cool car if you're into that), a recently bulletproof Max was critically injured. The perpetrators were close behind and went to investigate the wreckage. Max was stuck, but his fearless friend, 'Dog' came out to try and scare off the intruders.
That one hits me hard as I've raised and broken blue heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs), like 'Dog,' for most of my life. The one sitting under my desk right now would have done the same thing if we flipped our Falcon. These dogs are ridiculously tough. They tend to pick one caregiver as their 'leader.' Mine does not take my wife seriously (cracks me up on the daily). It is like a Han and Chewie relationship. So to see 'Dog' jump out and try to fight an army to protect Max...gets me everytime.

He didn't make it, but he died standing up for Max.
