"Ray" had several great moments, but I teared up when his mother explained to him that he'd be blind soon. I believe his blindness set in at 6 years old. His mother explained it to him in the perfect combination of 'real', comforting, and insipiring (don't let this hold you back).
I can't imagine how I'd explain this to my child.
