Doing a search for something else, I kept finding photos of classic stars who served in the army or navy or some branch of the armed forces.
Thought this would be informative and interesting and also a way of acknowledging their service.

Paul Newman: Served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radio operator
Tony Curtis: Spent over two years working as a crewman on a submarine tender, the USS Proteus (AS-19)
Ernest Borgnine: Joined the United States Navy, where he stayed for ten years until leaving in 1945
