Benny has poked his head up out of the hidey-hole he has been in for the last five or six years to pronounce his judgment about clergy child abuse. In an 11-page letter, he disagrees with Pope Francis by blaming the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s and subsequent laxity of Catholic teaching for all the priests raping children. Benedict claims that “"Part of the physiognomy of the Revolution of '68, was that pedophilia was then also diagnosed as allowed and appropriate" – a claim manifestly false. The Nazi tainted ex-Pope goes on to say that “cliques of homosexuals” began signing up for seminary during that time along with a loss of religious belief in the general public. The only solution to the crisis, he says, is a return to enforcing the strict traditional Catholic doctrine of the past. Victims of the abuse are only mentioned in passing. As expected, LGBTQ advocates have already roundly ripped the 92-year-old post-pontiff’s non-Ex Cathedra missive. CNN coverageRight. So then how does Bennie account for the rampant abuse that was going on before the "laxity" of the 1960s? www.attorneygeneral.gov/report/www.indystar.com/story/news/2018/10/12/indianapolis-archidocese-list-priests-catholic-church-sex-abuse-what-we-know/1607215002/
