In Captain Marvel,
Carol Danvers and Nick Fury are sitting at a table in a bar. Fury asks Carol how would he know she's not a shape-shifting Skrull. Carol shoots a blast at the wall behind Fury and the wall explodes. So Carol destroys the bar and doesn't even pay the bar owner for the damages.
This is 1 of the reasons why I give low ratings to MCU movies. Because MCU heroes constantly abuse their power and think that they don't have to be accountable for their actions.

In the diner, the truck driver did not "pick on" Clark, the guy at first tried to ignore Clark, who wanted the truck drivers seat, even though there were plenty of empty seats at the counter. When the guy wouldn't move (why should he?), Clark tried to start a fight with him. To be clear, it was Clark, not the truck driver, who wanted to escalate the situation to violence. Unfortunately for Clark/Superman, without his powers, he was a complete pussy ... and got his ass kicked. Funniest scene in the movie.
It was only after he had regained his unfair alien superpower advantage that he went looking to harrass the truck driver a second time ... and busted up the diner again ... over such a petty grievance. It is highly doubtful that Clark knew the full cost of all the damage he caused, so it is also highly doubtful that the money in his pocket would have been enough to cover it all. Besides, you can't just walk into a public establishment, assault one of the customers, smash it up, endanger the other patrons, and then throw some money around and think that all will be forgiven.
How about when Tom Brady used his unfair football cheating deflating advantage?
