Movie Rogue's entire character arc revolves around her quest to be able to make out with her boyfriend. That's it. Other than that, she's a wallflower in the Fox-Men films. They had no idea how to properly utilize her. It will take nothing for Captain Marvel to top that. I can pretty much confirm that Captain Marvel is better than live-action Rogue. The funny thing is, even if they go 90s Rogue in the MCU, I don't think they will use Carol for it. Her powers are the same as current Carol in the comics. Not the baseline hero powers she had in the 80-90s (flight, strength, invulnerability).
