My brother-in-law’s family are Anglo Sri Lankans who left the country after it became independent. One of the reasons why they left was because they’re Roman Catholics and the anti British feelings also spread to Sri Lankans who practiced Christianity. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was an Islamic attack but as you have already mentioned, the religious hatred appears to affect all groups. It's just so dispiriting and painful. Everything is going well and then a few morons carry out terrorist attacks and leave not just pain for many but a feeling of communal division. Feel so bad for the Lankans. Hope they can regroup again and things become normal.
