Honestly, I thought the first one was just okay. It wasn't as good as people were making it out to be. A lot of the humor felt really forced.
See it's funny, I also thought the humor was sometimes forced but I found the cast and tone so charming I forgave it. Like they could afford to suffer a few hits.
