When Loki was pretending to be Odin, Sif found out about him. So to stop her from squealing on him he put a mind whammy on her like he did to Odin, covers her in magical tattoos that restrain her Asgardian powers, then banishes her to Earth with no memory.
She is found by FBI agents and has proven herself to be quite formidable despite having no memory. She now works for the FBI and they call her Jane Doe.

Hopefully one day Thor runs into her and manages to break the spell Loki has put on her. Because otherwise there's no one else who knows what happened to her seeing as Loki is now dead.
