Dwight couldn't string two words of a lyric together to save his life so I trust Bernie Taupin will get some decent credit in the film. But is anyone seriously going to pay good money to see a film such as this? He didn't even re-write the lyrics to Candle in the Wind for the death of Princess Diana, though people the world over assume he did, after hearing his 'heart-tugging' rendition of Taupin's rewritten lyrics.
He can belt out a melody on a piano but bereft of any words to get him going there would be no Elton John.
He was quite good in the film Tommy, and I quite like the audio of I'm Still Standing and Sacrifice , but other than that I see and hear nothing that should warrant praise. An over-rated wanna be Liberace.
