am I the only one that doesn't mind when a movie is "dated"?

I watched Shane (1953) few days ago and didnt mind the dated aspect at all, infact I appreciated it. And this isnt just the camerawork or technology, its also social norms that were present back then which would be considered sexist now that could offend some sensitive people.
