QUESTION - How will you Rate the Directing Performances of the 4 Newest "STAR WARS" Directors ?

Um...don't you like The Last Jedi? If the directing is a 3/10 then I have a hard time understanding why you would like the movie at all.
J.J. Abrams - 6/10
Gareth Edwards - 8/10
Rian Johnson - 6.5/10
His directing style is a big improvement over J.J. Abrams imo. He is a far more visually inventive director and got much more impressive performances from Driver and especially Gleeson, who is terrible in The Force Awakens. The scene with the walking robots at the end is a beautifully shot sequence and Snoke's headquarters is visually fantastic in an almost Kubrickian way. Not surprising coming from the director of one of the creepiest sequences in recent movie memory - The future/past torture scene in Looper.
Ron Howard - 4.5/10
I am actually not really sure how to rate Ron Howard's directing here because the movie was never going to work in the first place. With that being said, his directing certainly doesn't do the movie any favors.
