I agree with all of that, except the sack Ole bit. If there is a guy who knows the one in all in philosophy and what Man Utd is, it’s Ole Gunnar Solskjær. He would have been a guaranteed starter almost anywhere else, but stuck it out as a super sub at Old Trafford. He gets it. Woodward however has proven himself a moron several times already, and a massive clearout of playing personnel is badly needed. Pogba, Sanchez and Young would be a good start. A man who struggled at Cardiff is not the right man for the job, I understand the sentiment and the nice idea of an ex player and a "boot room" mentality but football has moved on massively and has no room for sentiment. He would be a great number two, a "good cop" working under and with a "bad cop" in the manner that Theo Foley did with George Graham at Arsenal and Taylor did with Cloughie but he doesn't have the tactical nous or the toughness that is now required if Man Und wish to progress to the level of the top two. It's hard not to see next year as practically a re-run of this season at the moment and with Chelsea and Arsenal equally at sea United could get a top 4 under Ole, but top two? Zero chance under him.
