Maybe I was naive but I assumed I would have to go to the Orthodox Jewish part of town to buy the real thing. I wanted a hardbound edition to keep on my bookshelf. I wasn't interested in annotated paperbacks. well, there is no book just called the Kabbalah, but there are a number of hardbound kabbalah books you can get. Actually, I remember it was the Zohar.
