tell that to Suicide Squad, also don't trust Phillips as a director at all, hes very hit and miss. With Suicide Squad, I think word got around that Joker is barely in it and that the rendition of the character was awful. That along with the movie being torn to pieces. But SS never looked promising to me. Joker does. eh Phillips also made War Dogs which had Scorsese leanings, but his movies lack emotional resonance. I am excited about De Niro and Beetz but it looks like Phillips said gee im going to do my rendition of King of Comedy and Taxi Driver as well.
