As i said earlier in this topic there's zero chance of me not watching the movie as soon as i can. I just find the opinions interesting. That doesn't mean you're going to enjoy the movie though, right? I mean whats the point of predeciding you're going to like something based on what someone else thought? When only you know what you like. I don't know if I will like GOTGV2. I loved the first one and most of the MCU but that doesnt mean I will automatically like everything they will produce. Same goes for any franchise. I read for what they say in their opinion, not whether they ultimately liked it or not.
It's what they're saying about the narrative structure, characterization, focus of the film, etc that interests me. So I can read two films that score a 70% and know that one of them I'll have little interest in and the other I'll probably love. Usually that turns out to be correct.
If you're just reading for whether they liked the film or not, I think you're missing the point of the critic.
