I never saw that, but this time it is cheerleading. Whatever works for her and the audience it finds. I do find Keaton is a very radiant being, even if her later films are sappy. The point of Book Club was more to show that contrary to popular belief, female senior citizens can still possess romantic and sexual interests. Thus that movie—which pretty much defined mediocrity and formula in filmmaking—did not quite serve the interests of "girl power." I will pass on Poms. I will pass on both. The theme of these films hardly appear original either, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, but I'd say she would have had fun making them. Keaton knows where her talent shines and is not over-reaching and just doing what she can to entertain the demographic target audience these films are largely aimed at. I say good for her if she can find an appeal for her light and easygoing films in her dotage.
