I haven't seen "Justice League" but that movie in the few scenes I've seen, definitely doesn't look like a $300 million quality movie. I'm holding off on watching that for as long as I can, ha.
And I really didn't like the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". I didn't fully hate it but it certainly had none of the heart that made the first three films. I had no idea it had the highest budget of any movie made, at $379 million. For that, I'd say it was the worst. The things I liked about the movie was actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (the mermaid), who barely spoke English at the time. I loved everything about her and her character in the film. And well, actor Johnny Depp still had his cinematic quirks as Jack Sparrow working well for him. And well, I guess actor Ian McShane (Blackbeard) was okay, but he did feel like a watered down Barbossa at times.
What I disliked, was I remember the trailer hinted at zombies being in the movie (my favorite movie monster), when all we really got was some '40s walking-talking mindless zombies. That had zero special-effects done to them, nothing to make them look even semi-menacing. I thought actress Penelope Cruz (Angelica) would do something with the role, but she winded up being completely forgettable. Actress Keira Knightley is a tough act to follow, but yeah, I really missed Knightley in this film. So much, I think her and Depp's chemistry made the entire franchise overall. As for the special-effects they were really minimal for that kind of budget. There were long moments of them just walking on the island/beach through the jungle, even practical effects were non-existent, ha.
Yeah, this movie wasn't good and I'd make it my number one choice for sure. I'm still team actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey from this movie, though.
