Turns out Monday was some kind of holiday? Because on Tuesday it actually dropped but it's still running alongside Infinity War. Worldwide it's at $2.63 billion. Monday was Victoria Day in Canada, I can't imagine the bump came from Canada alone. Fans will carry it across the finish line, that was my assumption when I predicted its final grosses. It was assumed due to contracts that this would be the last chance to see some of these heroes on the big screen so I figured it would just approach the records but fans would keep it going long enough to surpass them with little bigtime competition in the basic genre as far as I could tell. I might have been too optimistic on the domestic, but we'll see as I suspect it will still have dollars trickling in most of the summer from the cheapo venues in part because of the reasons above. Cap and IM are the most American of the originals and this will be the last chance.
