Yeah. It is misleading for fans of the actors who see the movies to see their favourite actors and I often wonder why some movies have more popular actors in small cameo rolls instead of giving them the main star roles and it might have something to do with cost for all I know but I have seen a few Horror movies that had famous actors appear in them for a few minutes but the rest of the cast is full of lesser known actors and you wonder why they didn't use them for the lead instead. I was disappointed 'The Crow: Wicked Prayer' didn't use David Boreanaz as the main star especially since most articles I read about it made it sound like he was going to be the lead and I thought it would be fun to see Angel play the Crow but they used him as the villain. I like 'From Beyond' and we have watched that a few times and have it on DVD and it is written and directed by the same person behind the 'Re-Animator' and 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids' movies and has two actors from 'Re-Animator' in it and have you seen the 'Re-Animator movies Toasted Cheese and what do you think of those? I liked the franchise and wish we had got more than 3 movies. Have only seen the first Crow movie.
I like the first 2 Re-Animator films, though they are not amongst my favorite horrors of the 80's. I have always preferred From Beyond. I didn't find The Re-Animator lives up to much on a re-watch, after the first time I saw it, whereas I have always enjoyed FB on repeat viewings so much more. Must be the atmosphere and presentation of it that I like better.
Okay. Did you like the first movie 'cause if so I would suggest checking out 'City of Angels' and 'Salvation' one day. The sequels get a bad rep from some fans for not being as good as the first movie and they aren't but I really liked 'City of Angels'' and 'Salvation' and 'Salvation' had a great scene where he got inside a car with a corrupt police officer who was trying to rape a young girl and took the gun of him and put it in his mouth and blew his head off and the criminal was screaming while his head was growing back and then he drove the car at full speed into a wall and it blew up.
I didn't like 'Wicked Prayer' or the TV Show and the problem with the TV Show was it was watered down a lot and The Crow could get injured easily and bullets hurt him. 'Wicked Prayer' was a big flop and killed the series and there were originally going to be 6 movies and the next one was going to be based on 'The Crow: Flesh & Blood' with Iris Shaw as the lead which would have been the first female Crow they had on screen. They were originally going to make a movie with a female character as 'The Crow' before 'Salvation' but the studios wouldn't allow them to and the script for that movie was taken and lightly changed and become 'Kill Bill' which become a big hit and if the studio hadn't turned it down for having a female lead at the time they could have had another big hit in the franchise. Fair enough. I still enjoy both the 'Re-Animator' movies and 'From Beyond' and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up remaking them one day 'cause of all the other 80s Horror movies they have remade and now 'Re-Animator 4' isn't happening a remake seems likely but hopefully they aren't as bad as some other remakes they have made. I have enjoyed some remakes like 'The Ring', 'The Grudge', 'The Fly', 'The Amityville Horror', 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' and 'Salem's Lot' to name a few but others have been horrible and I think the remake of 'April Fool's Day' was the worst and don't even know how it was classed as a remake. They might as well just called it a sequel since there were too many differences to really be a remake in my opinion.
