Because it’s pushing an agenda. Why not make a good movie without having to shove an agenda? It was the same thing with Long Shot. That was a horrible movie but ended up getting praise from critics cause of its agenda.

I just mentioned Tangerine, I love that movie. It's about transexual hookers. But it's hilarious and touching. The characters are presented as real people with flaws and by the end of the movie you really feel empathy for them despite them doing some very bad things. It doesn't preach. It doesn't push an agenda, it just presents a day in the life of those characters and it's a great movie.

Whereas garbage like Moonlight pushes and agenda and was the media and Hollywood darling for doing it despite it being a terrible movie.
