I just mentioned how one of my all time favorite movies is Ghost World. Ghost World is about 2 girls who just graduated from High School and even though it didn't win any awards that I know of I would have absolutely voted for it for BP, it's a great movie.

BP was nominated because of politics. Moonlight won because of politics or do you legitimately think it was the best movie of 2016 or whenever it won? I tried watching it and was fucking boring as hell. I turned it off halfway through. When's the last time you heard anyone even mention Moonlight?

BP was an average superhero movie. I thought Blade was better personally and I don't recall anyone making Blade's race an issue when it was such a big hit back in the day.

I have been a right-wing watcher for over 60 years, starting with my parents. In spite of your "some of my best friends are black" defense (commonly heard among conservatives), the "politics" accusation is - ALWAYS is - Right (who are always wrong)- extremist dog whistle. African-Americans or women cannot succeed without some behind the scenes skulduggery to rig the win - that's what "politics" means in this context. What is your proof that "politics" was behind Moonlight's award and BP's box office success? Wait, that's a rhetorical question. I am going to answer it. The answer is: the only proof you can offer is that the movie bored YOU. It bored you so "politics" must be behind it. Not very convincing is it? I liked Moonlight very much. It was one of the best pictures of the year. What is MY proof of that? I liked it a lot. That's all. Moonlight is on MY best picture list.

As for Black Panther, I swore off super hero movies about five years ago but several people whose opinions I respect liked it very much and its box office success cannot be denied. Even though you thought it was "an average superhero movie," the huge amount of money it earned seems to put your opinion in with a very small minority even though you are trying to speak with the authority to set everybody else straight.

So.....why did I just say I loved Tangerine? Since it's just racism lol?

And the amount of money a movie earns means it's good? Fast and Furious and Transformers movies must have tons of Academy Awards.

The AA are all about politics and political agenda. That's why Meryl Streep wears black to support Metoo but then turns around and says her good friend Roman Polanski is a victim and he should be allowed back in the US lol. I mean....do you think people just shouldn't notice stuff like that?
