Many. But it's just a matter of preference. I've seen every Best Picture nominee that can be seen except some of last year's. None really stink, A Beast of Yucca Flats or Battlefield Earth type of dreck never got nominated. You can argue There Will Be Blood v. No Country For Old Men from now until Christmas but neither was a bad movie. There's been a few headscrathers for me recently.
2014 - Birdman. I didn't like it, but it wasn't a lousy movie. Well done, not to my liking. I would have voted for The Imitation Game
2009 - The Hurt Locker. Not a great movie. but not a great year for movies.
2008 - Slumdog Millionaire. Possibly my least favorite BP winner. Would have voted for the unnominated The Wrestler
I could name others, Pulp Fiction over Forrest Gump, Raging Bull over Ordinary People and others
