He is suggesting that the only reason Avatar made as much money as it did is because you had to pay 3 extra dollars for the 3D glasses. I figured but it's so odd considering ticket prices are higher than 10 years ago & EndGame is in 3D which means a surcharge, and also in Imax which is a 20+ dollar ticket. I don't remember exactly, but weren't all of the Avatar showings 3-D? Only some of the showing of Endgame are in 3-D. I mean it wasn't sold as a 3-D event. Only one of the 4 screens showing Endgame was 3-D at my cinema.
