They had 2D versions. Cameron was just promoting the 3D only, just like Jackson promoted the HFR Hobbit movies and Endgame is heavily promoting IMAX. Most of the showings of Endgame in my town were 3D too although they are the first to go after the first week or two. Regardless, if Endgame beats Avatar box office, it doesn't mean more people saw it which is what should measure a movie's popularity I don't care about BO anyway, I was just helping to clear up the confusion between you and nostromo. Thanks. I wasn;t really confused, I just thought he was talking crazy. No matter how it;s sliced it's more expensive to go to the movies now. I'm probably paying more for a 2d ticket now than I paid for a 3d ticket in 09.
