The original release date was last November. Why would it be Captain Marvel? I mean, Dark Phoenix would have came out 1st on both of it's 1st two release dates. It would have had to have been a movie that came out before Dark Phoenix's original release date. I’m not saying it is CM, but if it is, I guess it could be possible that while the Disney/Fox deal was going through, people like Bob Iger got to see an early cut of Dark Phoenix, noticed the similarities to CM, and then requested that the third act be changed as a result. I don’t know. I’m just spitballing here. A few months back Simon Kinberg said that Kevin Feige got to review the film.
