i'm pickles, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, mustard, ketchup, mayo.
At a place like Five Guys or Fuddruckers where you can choose your own toppings, I go with tomato, onions, mushrooms, mustard, mayo. At gourmet burger places I might pick something a bit different, like blue cheese or goat cheese or a fried egg or guacamole.
Funny story: my niece is a picky eater. She doesn’t like anything on her cheeseburgers – no lettuce, no tomatoes, no mustard, no ketchup. One time at a restaurant my brother (her father) ordered a burger for her and stressed to the server that there should be nothing on it. The server acknowledged and asked "just the cheese then”, at which point my niece (who must have been six or seven at the time) added “and the meat!”.
