While he can sing, ill say that's one thing I don't like about those shows(even though I generally do watch those types of shows) is... like someone comes on stage and they surprise the audience (like the audience thinks they will suck and then they do not) and then the audience overpraises them because of the surprise effect more than the act actually being of higher quality straight up to legitimately earn that super high praise. so basically they end up being given even more credit because of the surprise vs if they had not surprised the judges/audience, which I don't like. like in this videos example... he could sing, but since he was autistic, people had low expectations and then when he could actually sing well they end up acting like he's the best singer on the planet because of it etc. i get what you are saying and often think about that aspect but end up following the pattern anyway. crafty bastards they are, the producers...
