Thanks for the explanation. I now understand what you are referring to.
As for my thoughts, I can't comment as I don't listen to the radio. In my car this summer I will be listening to my latest MP3 CD compilation, which contains 12 albums that I purchased. I'm fairly certain none of them get played on commercial radio.
