I guess the camera tech is the case. Plus IIRC, they were able to broadcast the footage around the world, which is quite vast. So I guess it qualifies? I’ll do you one: how was Army of Darkness sci-fi? I think you could do that in 1998. But since everything is definitely possible now, it just doesn't register as sci-fi to me. And I don't think it is. Jcush had it so I put it thinking I maybe forgot something, but I think it stayed pretty fantasy. I'd swap it with Alien 3 or Universal Soldier if that's the case. Like movieman pointed out, I just put Army of Darkness because of the time travel aspect. I agree it's definitely more of a Fantasy movie though.
