If someone isn't into something then they will become bored, hence the movie being referred to as boring.
Boring definition.
Uninteresting, tedious.
If someone doesn't think The Godfather is interesting then calling the movie boring fits the definition. If they did think the movie was interesting then they wouldn't find it boring. I am going to assume the person who disliked Salo disliked it because they didn't find it interesting. Just because YOU can't comprehend how someone could find it uninteresting doesn't mean THEY didn't.
