I doubt you can because I just gave a specific reasons why I think yours is flawed. I doubt you can give specifics on why mine is flawed like I just did with your '5/10 boring' thing. hence, mine is not flawed until you can make a good point otherwise and I don't think you should even attempt to claim mine is flawed unless you can give a decent reason why it is.
But how do you use the 1-5/10 rating scale if even slightly boring/dull/uninteresting is truly boring for you? ; because based on what your saying here you almost sound like one of those people who don't have much variance between average and boring and that's what I think the OP and I have issue with and is basically the point of this topic in the first place.
or let me say this... do you consider boring to be pretty much the worst crime a movie can commit? ; if that's a 'yes', then I would likely use other words for when movie start to fall below average and get a bit dull etc. because surely you must agree with me in that if something falls below average it's not outright boring, correct? ; what I am saying here is it helps distinguish between the weaker score ranges like the 1-4/10 etc. I am sure you get the gist of it
I can just as easily say your rating system is flawed

Boring to an extent is still boring. I can't make that any clearer.

so assuming you agree there... it seems things are a bit flawed on your side of things in relation to you judging the overall movie and scoring it according to your overall thoughts/feelings on a movie. because when I rate a movie it gives those seeing what I scored it a very good indication of what I think about the movie overall.
I will not be responding again or even looking at your reply. Take that however you want.
Which basically tells me you got no legitimate comeback to what I said above. hence, what I said is a pretty good point in why I think your 5/10 score in relation to boring is flawed.
I disagree with most of what you said this time, but if i keep responding than this is just going to go in endless circles.
It won't go in endless circles unless you disagree with me on a very core point....
basically what's paramount in the overall movie is how well it interests/entertains the viewer and boring is pretty much the opposite of that. so if you agree here, which I don't see how you won't agree with that, then using the word 'boring' on a movie you score a 5/10 is flawed since a 5/10 score tells another person you thought the overall movie was average, NOT boring. so if you truly do feel a movie is boring, it should reflect in your rating for a movie. hence, more in the 2/10 range or so, not a 5/10.
