Superman Returns was actually a great Existential Superman film, though you could tell it came from the perspective of a gay man or female. In what way? The only Superman film where he threw 0 punches, it was completely Existential. - "Who am I?' - "Where do I come from?" - "Where do I fit in?" - "Does the World Need a Savior?" And so on. The color palette screams feminine. Powder blue suit, smaller more fashionanle "S" shield. It looked like clothes/people from the 1960s even though it's the 2000s, which is actually kind of unique. Compare that to Snyder where there is a fight/action beat every 10 minutes. The suit is dark/grungy blue with bigger muscles.
