I know he hasn't won any trophies yet, but I think that at this point it's more than fair to praise Koeman as a coach. Within 1 year he changed the Dutch team from a semi-train wreck to a squad that can compete with world class national teams. And while the Netherlands are back on the rise in terms of quality, I wouldn't say that they're there yet (especially in terms of their attackers). So the fact that fact that Koeman's team, even in this fragile state, was able to beat countries like France, Germany & England is a big achievement by the coach. I thought he was dismissed too hastily from Everton. He had a good first season with them, and had done very well with Southampton the 2 seasons before, but the first sign of any sort of trouble and they get rid of him and replace with Allardyce.
