Turns out it was a special school Pentecost Mass with the entire Junior School over the road... It went on so long, so much singing, audience participation, and a re-enactment of Pentecost itself.
We do occassionally sing Ave Maria in Latin as an entrance or exit hymn. That's about as far as it goes.
The University of Bristol holds a Latin Mass on Sundays... I may go along one Sunday, just for the experience.
