Very disappointed by. Separate peace and Bell jar. Widely read and admired, these novels had great film potential and built in audience. Not sure what went wrong.
Larry Peerce is the son of one of my favorite Opera figures, The great Tenor Jan Peerce. In his 70’s he could still fill a concert hall with his beautiful tenor. He had a lovely cameo in Goodby Columbus playing one of two brothers who spend the wedding arguing about the carpeting. They can be seen pacing it off as the reception devolves in to a mess.
