I love the plot, especially how the son in the future uses the history of the case to help his dad in the past to catch a killer. Brilliant idea. Cons: I could've done without the exaggerated New York accents, which were annoying, and some of the sappiness at the end. Also, I would've cast someone other than Jim Caviezel in the lead role. He's not bad or anything, I just feel there are more affable actors that would've made the movie even better. But I'm nitpicking here. Overall, a terrific movie, which I own on DVD. 8/10 I don't have any problem with the accents, but I understand your issue with them. I agree with your other nitpicks though. Just for the record, I normally love New York accents in movies, but for some reason I just found it slightly annoying in this movie. Maybe because it sounded kind of phony to me.
