That's SIR Michael Palin to you. The 76-year-old former member of the Monty Python group (he is the one who came for an argument and was cheese shop owner, Mr. Wensleydale) was made a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George by Prince William. Palin is the only Python to get a knighthood and will probably be the only one. John Cleese turned down a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1996 and a peerage in 1999. Palin, however, was not honored for his comedy but for services to travel, culture and geography.
