1- We could also pretend that the FIRST CLASS timeline is an alternate universe. Mine is a scenario which you're free to enjoy or not. As simple as that.
2- Time is a river, as stated in DOFP. It's everything quite exposed in DOFP. We still get the X-Men (as we know them) at the very end of DOFP, despite the massive changes in 1973. Right?
