Seriously, how many times is it now that we've had Mega Drive/Genesis compilations? I owned both the PS2 Genesis Collection as well as the Sonic Mega Collection. Dollars to donuts, it's 98% the same library as previous comps. Why not have a Sega CD collection? or a Saturn Mini? Because the general public doesn't give a shit about Sega CD or the Saturn because most people never owned those systems. These systems are based on nostalgia.
I mean....I owned a Sega CD, I was one of the dummies who got it (as a Christmas gift) when it first came out. And I thought it sucked even back then. I ended up selling it to a friend's older brother a year or so later. It had very few really good games and a lot of the games it did have weren't much better than regular Genesis games, they just had stuff like "FMV" or a few extra features tacked on.
The Saturn was a total flop and while it has some good games not enough people owned one to make a Saturn stand alone mini a big draw. I would imagine Sega would do a compilation of all their consoles before they'd do a stand alone Saturn.
