No it doesn't. For one thing, everybody knows what divorce is, regardless what the religion teaches on the subject.

Another thing, whether or not a religion allows for it or not, most people agree that divorce is awful. It means that the marriage has failed.

More evidence that Christians especially Catholics thrive on hypocrisy!
