No it doesn't. For one thing, everybody knows what divorce is, regardless what the religion teaches on the subject. Another thing, whether or not a religion allows for it or not, most people agree that divorce is awful. It means that the marriage has failed. Just like Catholicism is a 'failure' and has treated people 'awfully', so therefore, the hidden irony is, that your divorce analogy does make some kind of sense. It would be lost on you though, due to hypocrisy. Catholicism is not a failure. It exists right to this very day, no matter what happens.
