And thank God it has Maleficent, who is the brightest spot of the whole movie. Not knocking the film so much as pointing out the familiarity of all the characters. Those three fairies are like three little Fairy Godmothers from Cinderella. Not super original, but it works over all. I was six years old when it came out, and my mother took me to see it. I thought it was wonderful, and to this day, it remains my favorite. I loved the fairies, and Maleficent scared the heck out of me! Yeah, it's not exciting and the music isn't great, but it holds a special place in my heart. Maleficent is actually quite scary, she keeps mentioning Hell and all that! What's her deal, I wonder? I may have to watch that Angelina Jolie movie to find out.
