These people were killed for giving testimony that they saw the Risen Jesus, and that He Is Lord. They could have been spared all of this, by backtracking on their witness. Even then, there was low tolerance levels for superstitious religious claptrap. Mentally ill then, mentally ill now...😒 Or, the Lord Had Risen from the Dead, and they would not lie about what they had witnessed.
